About The Position

Mizuho is a bank on the rise climbing the league tables, disrupting the status quo and attracting top talent. Positions are available across investment and corporate banking, capital markets, advisory, research, sales & trading, derivatives and corporate functions. We are looking for candidates who want to contribute to our entrepreneurial culture where people at all levels are inspired to share ideas. Our creativity sets us apart, and our commitment drives results in creating bespoke, client-focused solutions. If you are interested in working for an organization with a growth mindset that is a global leader in financial services, we would like to hear from you. The Summer Equity Sales, Trading, and Research Analyst Rotational Program at Mizuho Securities combines the analytical rigor of equity research with the fast-paced environment of sales and trading. The 11-week Program in New York begins with a one week training/orientation program followed by immersion in the day-to-day experience of the firm, with separate intern rotations in Sales, Trading and Research. Mizuho Financial Group is one of the largest financial institutions in the world with 800+ offices worldwide in 34 countries. Mizuho Americas is a premier Investment and Corporate bank dedicated to delivering innovative capital markets and advisory solutions to our clients, globally. Mizuho’s internship program combines equity sales, equity trading, and equity research. Within Equity Sales, interns sit with the sales team to structure and cultivate investment ideas and provide value-added content to our Institutional Clients. In Equity Trading, interns will participate in the execution of stock ideas - monetizing the services provided to our clients and learning the mechanics and evolution of an equity trade across various industries and product groups. In Equity Research, interns are embedded in analyst teams and participate in content creation starting with idea generation, to stock and sector analysis, financial modelling, and report writing/presentations. Summer Analysts will have unparalleled access to senior members of Mizuho via our “Lunch and Learn” program and opportunities to interact with their fellow interns in Corporate and Investment Banking, Research and Sales & Trading teams in both Equities and Fixed Income. Presentations to senior management are required, providing the interns with an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned during their internship.
