About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research, Vice President - Internet. The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo. In this role, you will conduct the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base. Critical to the role will be communicating research findings to both internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue. The Vice President will build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Internet
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
• Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
• Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Internet sector and a strong understanding of the companies within the sector
• Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
• Create and update financial models and databases
• Author, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes
• Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
• Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents
• Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content
• Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
