About The Position

The Equity Research Internship is a 10 week program, where research interns can work with research associates and analysts who provide differentiated analysis and value-added insight regarding publicly traded companies and industry trends for institutional clients. Interns are part of small teams with a high level of responsibility in contributing to published research. Interns work with financial modeling and proprietary research techniques.

Requirements

• Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or similar majors with a minimum 3.5 GPA
• Junior in College
• Bright, mature, and motivated with the desire to excel and ability to adapt in an intellectually challenging environment
• Passionate about capital markets and a desire to become highly skilled in equity research
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work well on a self-directed basis
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Support Research Associates and Analyst(s) in making bold calls and produce actionable research for Davidson's institutional clients
• Research market and industry trends and company specifics to become an expert in your assigned sector
• Create, maintain, and update data in financial models, and create tables and graphs that clearly illustrate the information

Benefits

• $25 - $25 an hour
• The potential base pay hiring rate for this role is $25 per hour. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
