About The Position

What is the Position? Evercore Wealth Management, LLC and Evercore Trust Company, N.A. seek to hire a self-motivated and capable individual to collaborate with a team of senior Equity Portfolio Managers in the New York office on the firm's core equity portfolio. They will conduct proprietary research of portfolio companies and companies under consideration for portfolio inclusion with a focus on fundamental research. This will include analysis through primary and secondary sources of senior management, long-term capital allocation, customers, competitors, government regulatory factors, and sector and industry dynamics. There will be opportunity to take ownership of specific companies in the portfolio and will be expected to contribute to new idea generation.

Requirements

  • MBA from a top school and/or the CFA designation
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
  • Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
  • Ability to articulate and defend ideas
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
  • Great work ethic
  • This position requires valid United States work authorization and is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Conducting financial and valuation analysis
  • Interpreting complex financial and accounting issues
  • Understanding industry and competitive dynamics that will help to shape investment thesis
