The Role Looking for a best-in-class opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with fundamental analysis and the investment research process? The Equity Research Associate internship program gives interns the chance to obtain and develop the core research skills needed to jumpstart a successful and lucrative career in investment management. The program is led by our director of research, and each intern will be paired with a peer in the research department who will mentor them throughout the summer. Throughout the 10-week program, interns will support real investment decisions by:

Requirements

• Class of 2028 Bachelor’s degree candidates
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, seeks additional responsibilities and learning opportunities
• Proven success during his/her academic career with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Demonstrated expertise using Excel
• Highly motivated independent problem solvers, ability to think outside of the box and bring a unique perspective
• High levels of integrity
• Demonstrated initiative and intellectual interest in studies/extracurricular activities related to the financial markets
• Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints

Responsibilities

• Conducting autonomous research on three stocks across different sub-sectors.
• Building financial models, completing financial analysis, and conducting proprietary research.
• Communicating with corporate management teams, industry experts, and Wall Street analysts, to develop investment recommendations for our funds.
• Collaborating with fellow interns and utilizing the vast network of Fidelity managing directors of research, analysts and portfolio managers.
• Pitching stock recommendations to internal portfolio managers.
