About The Position
This individual will work closely with the senior research professionals to assist in preparing and executing analyses of companies. The role involves collecting, evaluating, and applying statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets, specifically with respect to researching common stocks within specific industries. The candidate will analyze and synthesize researched data and present trends and ideas regarding business opportunities and investment decision-making processes. Additionally, the role includes formulating and issuing opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in one or more industry groups, preparing reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data, and assisting in financial statement modeling for the formulation of investment policies and/or recommendations of the firm. The candidate will also answer inquiries from firm personnel regarding individual securities or industry groups, prepare studies and other data for firm publication, disseminate special studies, models, forecasts, and/or presentations to furnish information to the Syndicate or Investment Banking groups on security offerings and underwriting, interview company executives or industry leaders to develop and maintain sources of information, and maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software.
