About The Position

The Equity Compliance Advisor at Indiana University Health is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding nondiscrimination in health programs and activities. This role involves serving as the Section 1557 and Section 504 Coordinator for all IU Health entities, ensuring effective processes and policies are in place. The position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and collaborates closely with the Chief Health Equity Officer, focusing on personal and professional growth opportunities within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in compliance or healthcare.
• Professional certification in a compliance-related field (e.g., internal audit, fraud investigation, health care compliance).
• Healthcare experience within a compliance audit function or extensive clinical/operational experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations governing nondiscrimination in health programs and activities.
• Serve as Section 1557 Coordinator and Section 504 Coordinator for all IU Health entities.
• Develop and implement effective processes and policies for compliance.
• Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Health Equity Officer.
• Provide training and support related to compliance issues.
