About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Associate, Experienced, or Senior Equipment and Tool Engineer to join our 2nd shift Production Engineering team in Renton, WA. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and tool makers, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. You must be able to work 2nd shift (1:30pm – 10pm), as this posting is not for any other shift. This position is a Production Engineering role and requires direct interfacing with the people and equipment on the production floor. A typical day could include: Spending up to 8 hours on feet standing/walking on the production floor Climbing ladders or stairs to access equipment Working at heights or in tight spaces Wearing required PPE

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 1 or more years’ related engineering work experience
• Must be able to work 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Investigates and develops equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
• Performs tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication and production use
• Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models to support the build plan.
• Create specifications and purchase requests for the acquisition of new equipment and tooling from external vendors
• Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and documents equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and supports user training development.
• Manages budgets and schedules to deliver equipment and tooling solutions to customers

• Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $90,950 - $123,050
• Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $111,350 - $150,650
• Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $135,150 - $182,850
• This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
