About The Position

The Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair and up-time of Admar Supply and customer equipment. This role involves inspecting and tagging returned rental equipment, troubleshooting and making necessary repairs, and ensuring that all repairs are completed properly and timely. The Technician must report any issues with repairs to the Service Manager and provide detailed descriptions and recommendations for solutions. Additionally, the Technician is responsible for completing all required paperwork accurately and on time, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to safety rules and regulations. The position requires the ability to define problems, collect data, and interpret instructions, as well as the ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. The Technician will also complete internal and vendor training as assigned and contribute to 'The Admar Experience'.

Requirements

  • High school degree and 1+ years’ experience working in a service environment.
  • Experience working on construction related equipment preferred.
  • Experience with small engine repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems preferred.
  • Comply with OSHA/ANSI and other state/federal guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Technician Tier IV: Minimal relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products.
  • Technician Tier III: Limited relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on a moderate number of products.
  • Technician Tier II: Relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products.
  • Technician Tier I: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all products.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and tag returned rental equipment noting any damage or other necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs based on repair tags and input from Service Writer and Service Manager.
  • Report problems or issues with repairs to Service Manager with detailed descriptions and recommended solutions.
  • Ensure all repairs are fully completed and perform complete inspections of equipment.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Work in a safe manner, obeying all safety rules and keeping the shop area clean and organized.
  • Define problems, collect data, and identify root causes of failures.
  • Interpret and follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
  • Read and understand drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Complete internal and vendor training as assigned.
