About The Position

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Other job responsibilities may include Point of Care Testing (POCT), performing preventative maintenance, maintaining stock supplies, and equipment inventory. Responsibilities

  • Decontaminates, cleans, and reprocesses equipment.
  • Assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly patient/department environment which is in compliance with infection control, safety, OSHA, and other regulatory processes.
  • Practices optimal infection control processes both in patient contact and equipment cleaning/maintenance.
  • Ensures that supplies, equipment and instrumentation are available.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and collaborate with HTM.
  • Completes special assignments within designated time frames.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
