Equipment Technician
About The Position
As an Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the packaging equipment that drives our production operations. Working as part of a shift-based maintenance team, you’ll help ensure equipment reliability, safe operation, and smooth transitions between product runs and engage with the machinery while production runs take place. This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with machinery, and contributing directly to the success of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Technical skills gained through education, training, or hands-on experience.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to complete and understand basic cGMP and safety training.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Basic math skills and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments on packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Support and execute equipment setup for different product runs.
- Perform line clearances and prepare equipment for production start-up.
- Conduct equipment testing to verify proper performance.
- Uphold safety standards and facility procedures at all times.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Promote safe work practices in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Initiate purchase requests for parts and materials as needed.
- Support spare parts inventory management to ensure availability.
- Collaborate with procurement to maintain necessary equipment supplies.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Facilities teams.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
