About The Position

As an Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the packaging equipment that drives our production operations. Working as part of a shift-based maintenance team, you’ll help ensure equipment reliability, safe operation, and smooth transitions between product runs and engage with the machinery while production runs take place. This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with machinery, and contributing directly to the success of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical skills gained through education, training, or hands-on experience.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to complete and understand basic cGMP and safety training.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Basic math skills and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments on packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
  • Support and execute equipment setup for different product runs.
  • Perform line clearances and prepare equipment for production start-up.
  • Conduct equipment testing to verify proper performance.
  • Uphold safety standards and facility procedures at all times.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Promote safe work practices in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Initiate purchase requests for parts and materials as needed.
  • Support spare parts inventory management to ensure availability.
  • Collaborate with procurement to maintain necessary equipment supplies.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Facilities teams.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
