About The Position

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Maintains all landscapes, including trimming trees and other gardening work to ensure appearance, safety, and cleanliness. Maintains exterior grounds, including painting of curbs, signs, etc., fixing signs and repairing fences to ensure appearance, safety, and cleanliness. Removes snow and de-ices road and sidewalk surface to ensure safety and convenience of guests and employees. Repairs asphalt and concrete surfaces. Installs and repairs irrigation systems. Empties trash receptacles on exterior grounds. Assists in the general maintenance of the interior and exterior of the casino including repairing, altering, or reconstructing equipment and facilities, using appropriate material, supplies, or parts. Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner Performs repairs and maintenance on equipment. Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Attending all necessary training meetings. Assist in other projects, as directed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment. High school diploma or its equivalency preferred. Knowledge of operation of mowers, tractors, trimmers, weed eaters, snow blowers and driving pick-up trucks with standard transmission. Valid operator’s license. Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier. Must possess excellent communication skills. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers. Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening. Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust. Visual range must include near and far distances. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures including hot or cold temperatures. Auditory range must include near and far distances. Valid driver’s license. Good hand/eye coordination. Physical ability to lift 100 lbs. Ability to look over your shoulder. Dexterity to use hand tools. Ability to drive standard shift vehicles. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
