About The Position

Equipment Technician – Electrical – Full-Time | Paid Benefits | Training Provided We’re hiring electrically and mechanically inclined individuals who want to build a long-term career supporting and maintaining advanced manufacturing equipment. Experience with CNC machining or CNC code is preferred , along with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems — but we will provide training for the right candidate. Shifts: 1st Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm (5×8s) Perks: Fully paid benefits Optional overtime Boot reimbursement (steel toes required) Onsite training and growth opportunities About Us Cleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications. All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing. Your Goal Repair, refurbish, upgrade and maintain production equipment to aid in the improvement of manufacturing processes, production, and output, with a focus on automated electrical control systems. Production equipment examples are punch presses, press brakes, lathes, mills, forklifts, cranes, custom equipment, etc.

Requirements

  • Candidate shall have experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical control systems to a component level.
  • Hands on electrical and mechanical experience required.
  • Experience in an industrial maintenance environment or other related field.
  • Prior production and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications related to job-specific requirements (i.e. operating a fork truck, man lift, and/or other related equipment).

Nice To Haves

  • CNC machining and/or CNC coding experience preferred.
  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Blueprint or schematic reading is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others.
  • Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex industrial electrical control problems to the component level.
  • Works with the team to solve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control problems.
  • Confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
  • Plans work to be perfomed with stakeholders, ensuring improvements are approved by the team and area management prior to implementation.
  • Reads and interprets technical documentation such as drawings, electrical diagrams, service manuals, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, etc.
  • Rebuilds complex systems and components as necessary.
  • Researches technical information and specs.
  • Documents and organizes repair records.
  • Researches required parts, parts numbers, materials, and safe installation practices; generates purchase order requests for components.
  • Communicates repair plans with all stakeholders in the production process.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations.
