The equipment systems engineering team designs, builds, and verifies equipment that can both assemble and test product during each section of the manufacturing process. While ensuring the product meets all customer requirements, equipment systems engineers work to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity. This is done by integrating platforms, equipment, machines, and systems to streamline the production process, enhance automation, improve the use of data, give greater management oversight and make production lines more efficient. Equipment systems engineers are familiar with the equipment and systems necessary to complete all manufacturing operations and gain a deep understanding as they become more experienced. They have a higher degree of self-sufficiency than junior equipment systems engineers yet are still to learn from and support senior equipment systems engineers.
