About The Position

The Equipment Service Technician role is responsible for providing repair services on pumps, blowers, portable/stationary compressors, generators, and ancillary equipment. This position involves performing scheduled maintenance, service, and repair, overseeing installations at customer locations, and inspecting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or system failures. The technician will also educate customers on proper start-up procedures, maintenance intervals, and potential spare parts requirements, while maintaining continuity between the customer and the company. Administrative duties include documenting labor hours, parts usage, and equipment data on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders
  • Ability to communicate ideas and suggestions both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to complete basic math skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • General mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, service, and repair on air compressors, pumps, and portable diesel utility equipment
  • Oversee and/or install related equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and or system failures
  • Educate customers on proper start-up procedures and maintenance intervals, along with potential spare parts requirements
  • Maintain continuity between the customer and the company during and after installations to ensure proper application and operation of systems and equipment
  • Follow proper safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Provide the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignments
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all company vehicles and equipment
  • Attend relevant training sessions and maintain the required levels of certifications
  • Document labor hours, parts usage, and equipment data on a daily basis
  • Perform any other relevant duties that may be assigned
