About The Position

The Equipment Service Technician at Veritiv is responsible for installing and repairing equipment at customer sites, ensuring that machinery operates according to specifications. This role involves troubleshooting, conducting tests, and providing training on packaging systems, while also managing service requests and maintaining customer relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and power flow.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and basic programming skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications from manufacturer trainings on relevant equipment.
• Experience in a service support organization for 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair worn or defective equipment at customer sites.
• Perform maintenance and start-up on various packaging equipment including stretch wrappers and case sealers.
• Support systems integration with customers and manufacturers regarding machine issues.
• Conduct electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tests on equipment.
• Provide training and product demonstrations on Veritiv packaging systems.
• Generate quotes and estimates for maintenance services.
• Complete field service work orders accurately and timely.
