About the position

Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for an Equipment Service Coordinator for projects in North Texas. The Equipment Service Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administration of the Equipment Department. They report directly to and will be directed by the Equipment Manager. The Equipment Service Coordinator will also be shown actual on-going repairs to become familiar with trouble shooting and repair procedures to prepare for hands-on mechanic experience. The role will report to our equipment yard located in Waxahachie near I-35 and 287. Upon completion of Austin's new equipment yard later this year, the reporting location for this position will then move to Dallas at Ledbetter and Duncanville Road.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in keeping inventory on vehicles designated for assignment or used as loaner units
  • Support Drivers when it comes to vehicle maintenance, fleet fuel program and driver pins
  • Help keep track of accident reports and repairs
  • Work with Shop Labor to prep equipment for assignment to employee-owner
  • Schedule appointments for the employee-owner to pick up vehicle and assist upon arrival
  • Schedule lubrication, servicing, and oil samples. Review oil analysis reports and bring potential problems to the attention of the Equipment Manager for review.
  • Be involved in the Daily Visual Inspection Program by doing visuals and by tracking participation of job personnel in completing daily visual inspections.
  • Assist in ordering and expediting parts for the Maintenance Department and returning unused or unwanted parts.
  • Schedule transportation as directed to move equipment and track and report all equipment arrivals, departures, and on/off rent events.
  • Check timecards for correct coding and adjust as needed
  • Compare actual time for repairs against time requirement guides
  • Develop repair estimates with the assistance of the Equipment Supervisors for work that exceeds eight man-hours
  • Develop equipment utilization reports
  • Update maintenance assignment sheets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction equipment support
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all local, state and national statutes and guidelines regarding equipment licensing, certifications, permitting and hauling
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time effective manner
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification
  • Proficiency in general office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
