About The Position

This job description reflects potential openings for the Summer 2026 Co-op/Internship Session (May-August). This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest. Please note: Sponsorship for employment visa status for these positions is unavailable. Applicants requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., F-1 CPT/OPT, H-1B, TN, etc.) will not be considered. Honda Co-operative and Learning Internships provide invaluable experience with hands-on, project-based work relevant to their department's current needs. Projects may include developing new tests, designing systems, traveling to suppliers, or serving as project managers. Co-ops/Interns are invited to participate in various paid work events and experiences offered by the Honda Co-op and Internship program team, including Q&A sessions with high-level associates, tours of Honda facilities, social events, and volunteer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial safety, and industrial math.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and proactive approach with equipment maintenance.
  • Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher.
  • Class Status: Freshman or above.
  • Minimum of 10 weeks required.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of three days per week and at least four hours per day.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Ability to secure own transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in multi-disciplinary projects encompassing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration disciplines.
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Assist in building maintenance including HVAC.
  • Confirm and update line-side hardwire prints.
  • Perform basic electrical wiring and installation of cabling.
  • Support fabrication activities and troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Conduct press inspections and assist operators on the line.
