The primary function of the Equipment Sales Representative is to maximize sales within assigned territory. To call upon existing and establish new customers. The position will increase market penetration by selling and developing market strategies to customers in the designated area and achieve unit goals and gross profit. Essential Responsibilities Making calls at customer sites. Be a liaison between the dealership and the customers, call on garages, jobbers, fleet owners and leasing companies. Promote the sales of parts and accessories and be an advisor to wholesale and retail customers. Seek out prospective customers and business opportunities. Spend time each day in solicitation of new business. Keep abreast of new products. Responsible for maintaining current product knowledge on all new and used equipment commonly used in the area of responsibility. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of construction techniques utilized in the area and able to utilize this knowledge to make recommendations and suggestions to improve customer's operation. Keep Managers breast of marketing and merchandising conditions in the field.
