About The Position

The Equipment Repair Coordinator serves as a key technical resource for all equipment-related matters within the Allan Myers fleet. This role supports both shop and field operations by providing expert guidance on maintenance practices, managing maintenance schedules, and contributing to strategic decisions regarding equipment budgeting, acquisition, and disposal. The advisor also plays a critical role in implementing departmental initiatives and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, technical school degree in Diesel or Automotive preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction equipment maintenance (such as master mechanic or equipment management), or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment and related vehicles.
  • Proficient with equipment related diagnostic software.
  • Must have ability to work independently, professionally, and under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites (Excel and Outlook, in particular).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office and field personnel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical advisor to shop and field mechanics, offering guidance on equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Oversee and support effective vehicle and equipment maintenance programs, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in managing telematics systems to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
  • Track and maintain comprehensive records of maintenance and inspection events to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the upkeep of maintenance documentation and reporting systems.
  • Apply sound judgment and innovative thinking to improve departmental processes and outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Consistently model and reinforce Allan Myers’ core values, including safety, ethics, and collaborative leadership practices.
