About The Position

This position is to assemble, test, package and ship all equipment manufactured and distributed by the USC Equipment department. This function should be done to ensure safe shipment of finished products, to be shipped in a timely manner and to comply with all safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to take and follow directions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Problem Solving: High degree of analysis, problem solving and creativity.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Technical Skills: Must possess basic math skills for production and inventory purposes.
  • Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience required: 1+ year in manufacturing role is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Must be able to do repetitive work with hands and with various power tools.
  • Must be able to climb 4 flights of stairs, possibly multiple times per day.
  • Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.

Responsibilities

  • Package and fill orders, ensuring the correct items are being shipped.
  • Work safely with various hand tools, drill press, power tools and air operated tools.
  • Assemble all systems, including any sub-assemblies.
  • Perform final inspection of assembled equipment to make sure they work properly, that all parts are there, and that they are ready for shipment.
  • Manage data in SAP in order to receive orders, schedule and process production orders, maintain bill of materials and routing, and ship orders including offshore documentation needed.
  • Work with others to ensure a quality product is being produced in a timely manner.
  • Keep all work areas clean, safe and worker friendly.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts to help maintain accurate records.
  • Present a professional work atmosphere.
  • Answer phones and take the proper steps to assist the caller.
  • Understand how to safely work with electrical voltages for 24 volts to 220 volts.
