This program is focused on upgrading air traffic control systems at TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control) facilities across the country. Due to the scale and ongoing expansion of the effort, there is a high demand for qualified personnel, with multiple current openings and additional staffing needs anticipated. There are two types of engineers needed, equipment engineers and systems engineers. The Equipment Engineer supports the program by conducting on-site assessments of air traffic control systems. This role is responsible for inspecting, inventorying, and documenting hardware, software versions, and system interconnections at operational facilities. The focus is on understanding existing equipment, how it is interconnected, and whether it complies with established connection and power standards. This is distinct from a systems engineer where there is also a need. The Systems Engineer position focuses on equipment installation and configuration. Note: Resumes for these roles may appear similar; candidates with strong technical fundamentals will be evaluated for best fit.
