About The Position

The position will work as a shift equipment operator on a bagging facility and undergo training for maintenance. Position requires operation of forklift and manlift. Facility is a growing startup operated by an established industrial company.

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience in a production environment preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing/shipping a plus.
• Good mechanical, organizational, time-management, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Established operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on preventive maintenance using equipment vendor guidance.
• Record the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
• Ability to understand and operate various types of machinery and the tools required to work on each.
• Assist with preventive and corrective/emergent maintenance tasks across the warehouse and production areas including installed equipment, facilities, and forklifts.
• Ensure assigned projects are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the standard.
• Understand, operate, and train operators on installed production equipment.
• Operate equipment as may be necessary during the performance of duties to include forklift, scissors lifts, etc.
• Willing to work flexible hours when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
