They are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Equipment Operator to join their construction team. This role involves assisting in the construction of roads, sidewalks, and parking lots. Candidates should be detail-oriented team players, capable of taking direction in a fast-paced environment, and possess a positive attitude, treating customers and colleagues with honesty and respect. The Equipment Operator will work with various heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, report issues, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires physical fitness and the ability to work long hours in all weather conditions, with potential weekend, holiday, or night work.

Requirements

RI or MA Hoisting License
Ability to work as part of a team
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to stand for extended hours of time
Excellent communication and observation skills
Familiar with use of power and hand tools
Ability to follow directions
Must have a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

Maintains and operate heavy equipment to perform excavation tasks as instructed.
Greases machines on a regular basis.
Operates different forms of equipment including the backhoe, loader, skid steer, excavator, paver, etc.
Checks equipment regularly for malfunctions and reports any issues to the supervisor.
Daily maintenance of machines including the fuel and grease.
Performs operational duties in a safe manner.
