The Equipment Operator will work under the general supervision of the Plant Manager, operating various equipment including water trucks, graders, front-end loaders, and pickup trucks. Responsibilities also include performing routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, reporting needed repairs, and maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and practices, performing daily housekeeping, and workplace inspections.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Basic math and computer skills

Responsibilities

Operates various equipment including water trucks, graders, front-end loaders and pickup trucks.
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Reports maintenance and repairs needed to management.
Operates graders for leveling.
Operates front-end loaders as required.
Operates excavators as required.
Operates water trucks as required.
Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping and related assignments.
Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies and proper use of plant radios.
Should be familiar or willing to be trained on MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/Tagout policy, confined spaces policy, hot work policy, lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.
