In addition to performing the duties of a Material Handler, Equipment Operators are responsible for all DC functions requiring safe operation of Order Picker, Stand-Up Reach Truck, Drexel and Sit-Down Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack, within department specific metric requirements. This includes: Clearing the dock of inbound pre-received palletized freight. Stock “Prime Locations” with inbound freight before adding to reserve. Drop overstock for ticket handlers and stockers, helping to fill prime locations, following all policies and procedures stated in the “Stocking Guidelines.” Keep all aisles and racks clean from empty pallets, trash, and debris. Responsible for safety checks. Remains familiar and compliant with all company policies and procedures in the performance of job duties and regarding individual activities and behaviors. Maintains acceptable attendance in accordance with company policies and departmental standards. Conducts self in a professional, courteous, respectful, and friendly manner always when interacting with coworkers, clients or vendors. Other duties assigned as needed. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Hold a Petra license to operate all power equipment. Pick LTL cases at 75 lines per hour. Stock Pallet Put Away at 25 lines per hour. Perform Demand Replenishment at 75 lines per hour. Perform Real Time Replenishment at 200 lines per hour. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires prolonged standing, bending, and stooping. Frequently reaching overhead with arms and hands, feeling, fingering, grasping and repetitive wrist movement. Requires normal manual dexterity to operate equipment, forklift and/or cherry picker. Requires normal range of hearing and vision and requires being able to see small writing at a limited distance. Subject to hot and cold temperatures. This is a high stress and fast paced environment. Ability to move and handle merchandise weighing 0-125 lbs. Ability to lift, up to, 50lbs, and up to 125lbs with assistance. Satisfactory sense of balance and hand-eye coordination. Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. SHIFT REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally Petra requires employees to work beyond assigned shift times or to work hours outside of their assigned shift times. This includes the requirement to work weekends and holidays.
