About The Position

Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Equipment Operator to work at our Fountain, CO location. The Equipment Operator will operate the loader, feed the plant, stockpile material and run the plant.
Pay: $25-28/hr
Shift/Schedule: Day Shift with Occasional Weekends

Requirements

• Ability to operate loader and plant
• Knowledge of materials
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
• Work outside for an extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
• Ability to read and write

Responsibilities

• Performs daily machine inspection
• Monitors any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions
• Reports any equipment or plant malfunctions
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment
• Assists maintenance personnel with repairs
• Maintains level work area to allow easy movement and access
• Loads trucks with correct material while eliminating contamination
• Complies with weight limits when loading trucks
• Ensures that trucks are loaded with the appropriate products
• Maintains bucket levels when transporting material to keep machine balanced and to prevent spillage
• Maintain stockpiles of raw materials and finished product
• Meeting customer service expectations
• Complying with all safety regulations and policies
• Operates various mobile equipment as necessary
• Run the plant when necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
