About The Position

B.H. Inc. of Cedar City, UT is looking to hire a full-time experienced and certified Heavy Equipment Operator to join our utility construction team. This specialized role involves the safe and precise operation of excavation equipment (e.g., mini-excavator, backhoe) for critical utility projects, primarily focusing on Enbridge Gas mains and services. This is a field-based position that requires a high degree of technical skill, safety commitment, and versatility in supporting both digging and pipe fusion activities. As an experienced Equipment Operator, you will earn $23 to $29 (depending on experience) per hour to start, paid weekly . The schedule for this position varies but is typically Monday-Friday 40-50 hours per week. Requirements

Good experience with construction practices and a proven ability to safely operate various heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, and skid steers
Demonstrated experience or deep familiarity with digging around live utilities and/or working on gas utility projects (e.g., Enbridge Gas).
Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Strong commitment to safety and the ability to strictly follow safety procedures and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Good verbal communication skills for effective coordination with foremen and crew.
