Requirements

Willingness to assist with all worksite duties as directed
Dependability and punctuality
Consistent use of required PPE
Some equipment operating experience is a plus
Strong safety performance and commitment to helping others work safely
Ability to follow all Savage rules, policies, and procedures
Willingness to work holidays and weekends
Can follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, comprehension)

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment and support all Carbon/Emery surface-operation sites
Work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Perform general labor, basic repairs, equipment maintenance, and site clean-up
Complete pre-shift inspections and maintain MSHA-compliant work practices
Maintain yard efficiency, minimize truck delays, and ensure continuous coverage
Keep work areas and equipment clean, including washing, greasing, and spill cleanup
Follow direction from the Site Manager and work safely with the team
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Complete SHAPS observations and provide shift coverage as needed
