About The Position

To safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment for various construction projects, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and project specifications. This role involves skilled maneuvering of equipment for excavation, grading, loading, and transporting materials, as well as performing regular equipment inspections and maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment.
Experience with excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including prolonged periods of sitting and operating controls.
Strong hand-eye coordination.
Ability to follow project plans and instructions.
Ability to physically handle the demands operating heavy equipment.
When required to be able to lift 50lbs or more at times.
Adherence to all safety regulations and company safety policies regarding heavy equipment operation.
Commitment to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

Responsibilities

Safely operates heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, according to site requirements and established safety procedures.
Maneuvers equipment with precision to excavate, grade, load, and transport materials as required by project plans.
Performs pre- and post-shift inspections on equipment, diligently reporting any malfunctions or required maintenance to supervisors.
Adheres to all company safety policies and regulatory guidelines regarding heavy equipment operation, ensuring a safe working environment.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment and on the job site.
Follows project plans and instructions accurately, ensuring tasks are completed according to specifications and deadlines.
Works effectively in physically demanding conditions, including prolonged periods of sitting, operating controls, and potential exposure to various weather elements.
Communicates effectively with other team members and supervisors regarding project progress, potential issues, and safety concerns.
