About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator to join the team at our Monroe Twp., NJ, location to operate a variety of print equipment. The position is responsible for setting up, loading and operating print equipment, in a safe manner, while focused on quality. The Machine Operator maintains records of production output, sets up, adjusts, operates and cleans equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience working as a Machine operator preferably in a similar setting/capacity
• Ability to pick up new learnings quickly and display a willingness to train and become knowledgeable of the products/equipment operational capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and numbers (in English) at level necessary to perform essential functions
• Demonstrate clear oral and written communications skills and work independently as well as in a team setting
• Possess basic computer terminal knowledge and keyboard skills
• Good basic math and reading/comprehension skills

Responsibilities

• Start and monitor equipment operation
• Feed or load stock
• Lift cartons from pallets, carry cartons to printer(s); open carton, lift stock out, slice stock if necessary or fan stock
• Conduct quality checks and ensure high quality output of product in accordance with process standards and/or guidelines - visually inspect all press output
• Perform all required preventative maintenance on equipment
• Read and interpret all job tickets and work instructions
• Meet production goals and requirements as related to run rates and waste
• Complete all required documentation as it relates to production, quality and equipment maintenance
