About The Position

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating and transporting a variety of heavy machinery and equipment used in construction, plumbing, and mechanical operations. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety regulations to ensure efficient and effective project completion.

Requirements

• 3+ Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Valid equipment operator certification/license (OSHA, NCCCO, or state-specific preferred).
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T physical examination
• Strong knowledge of equipment safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and job specifications.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, forklifts, skid steers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure machinery is in proper working order
• Load, move, and grade materials in accordance with project requirements
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety standards
• Collaborate with team members, foremen, and site supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
• Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance
• Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and other general labor duties as needed
