About The Position

Parks & Recreation Equipment Operator – Parks Seasonal Posting Expires: Open Until Filled Salary: $16.00 hourly General Description and Classification Standards Operates basic grounds keeping equipment to maintain attractive, safe and groomed appearance. Supervision Received Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of how to operate equipment such as lawnmower, weed trimmer, edger, blower.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations related to equipment and tools in use.
• A valid Georgia's Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.
• Driver's license must remain valid during the tenure of this position.

Responsibilities

• Operates basic grounds keeping equipment to maintain attractive, safe and groomed appearance.
• Utilizes basic equipment such as lawnmowers, blowers, weed trimmers, edger's.
• May operate small tractor.
• May assist in other maintenance/construction projects as needed.
• Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
