What We Can Achieve Together: The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Mechanic maintains facilities, tools and equipment, mechanical systems and vehicles and preserve areas frequented by the visiting public. They undertake restoration projects on preserves and maintain equipment. The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Mechanic operates heavy machinery, leads work teams, remove exotic species and/or conducts species monitoring and manages livestock, if necessary. They will serve on the fire crew and assist with inventory and purchasing of machinery. May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
