About The Position
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Valdez District is looking for an Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving! This position involves operating heavy equipment including dump trucks, graders, dozers, loaders, and snow blowers for road and airport maintenance. The role also includes performing traffic control duties, maintaining state highways and airports, snow plowing, gravel and asphalt repair, hauling aggregate materials, and performing manual labor and general vehicle maintenance. The position is located in Thompson Pass, Alaska, and requires working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with varied responsibilities and conditions.
