About The Position
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Tok District is looking for a Non-Permanent Equipment Operator Journey 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving! This position involves operating and servicing a variety of heavy and light-duty equipment for year-round maintenance of state highways and airports within the District. Responsibilities include maintaining road surfaces, vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, and bike paths within the State Right-of-Way. The role also includes performing traffic control duties, operating various types of equipment, conducting snow removal, and ensuring safe operation of equipment through routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
