About The Position
The Heavy Equipment Operator is part of the Facilities Management Division of Montgomery Parks, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This division, consisting of 118 staff members, is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Department's physical assets, including facilities, pavement, fleet, and major building systems. With a budget exceeding $13 million, the division conducts facility condition assessments, manages major and minor maintenance programs, and supports the Department's Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). The division aims to balance the upkeep of aging facilities with new construction by integrating various CIP and major maintenance projects into the daily work program each year.
