About The Position

We are currently looking to fill an Equipment Operator I position for the MRF at the Agua Mansa/Riverside location.

The Equipment Operator handles a combination of any of the following equipment relating to the recovery of material: forklift, baler, wheel loader, sortline.

Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record, required
• Good judgment skills and ability to recognize equipment problems.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to operate forklift, loader, baler, bobcat and sortline equipment.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience and familiarity with the operation of various powered equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a combination of any of the following equipment:
• Forklift for movement of recycled materials
• Sortline panel controls (may provide guidance to sorters)
• Baler to prepare material for shipment
• Wheel loader to load sorting line conveyor
• Inspect equipment daily and report unsafe conditions
• Stop operation of any malfunctioning equipment
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
