The Equipment Operator I is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT drug & alcohol procedures, must be available to report to work during regular business hours and must be available after hours to respond to emergencies and/or highway conditions. This entry level CDL required position has a focus primarily on the operation of Outagamie County's fleet of dump trucks. Also operates several medium and light pieces of equipment and moves materials from manufacturing and distribution centers to jobsites. Equipment operator I's are responsible for winter plowing activities and maintaining a safe and efficient road system. This is a non-benefit eligible position. Flexibility is required based on workloads. Must be available to report to work after hours to respond to emergencies and/or highway conditions. Availability is the ability to respond to a phone call within 15 minutes and report to duty within 45 minutes. More will be discussed in the interview.
