About The Position

Eastman is seeking an Equipment Operator in their Transportation Services Department within the Utilities Division. The role involves providing transportation of materials within and outside the plant site by operating various types of trucks, including tractor trailers and dumpster trucks. The operator will also utilize the computer dispatch system when relieving dispatchers.

Requirements

• Must have current Class A CDL (Hazard Materials Certification preferred).
• Must be able to obtain an Eastman DOT Medical Examiner Certification.
• Must be familiar with basic computer functions such as email & data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word.
• Must be able to perform all safety procedures and wear appropriate company provided personal protective equipment as needed/required.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative & professional attitude.
• Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• WorkKeys assessment preferred at time of hire.
• Must achieve Eastman's required score levels on the WorkKeys assessments to be considered for the OAP (Operator Apprentice Program) or the MAP (Maintenance Apprentice Program).

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailers, dumpster trucks, and G.R.D. dumpster trucks for transportation of materials.
• Utilize the computer dispatch system when relieving dispatchers.
