About The Position

The Equipment Operator - Bag Line Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of bagging machinery within a manufacturing or packaging environment. This position is responsible for managing the setup, operation, and maintenance of bagging equipment to meet production targets while adhering to quality and safety standards. The operator will monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal functionality. Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential to coordinate workflow and address any operational challenges promptly. Ultimately, this role contributes to the seamless packaging process, supporting overall production goals and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience operating industrial equipment or bagging machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with automated bagging lines or similar packaging equipment.
Familiarity with quality control standards and production documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and adjust bagging machines and associated equipment.
Ensure proper setup of bags, materials, and machine settings for each production run.
Inspect finished bags for quality, weight, seal integrity, and correct labeling.
Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure safe working conditions.
Record production data such as quantities produced, downtime, and material usage.
Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures and guidelines.
Assist with loading materials and stacking or palletizing finished products as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
