Our brand-new machine delivers 2000 tons of total forming capacity across 60 linear feet, supporting large-scale, high-precision bending projects. Using our press brake, operators help produce components for: Ledger Angles for structural fabrication Fabricated columns column casings for earthquake protection Vessel Fabrication for marine industry Cell towers Light poles Power poles These projects play a critical role in supporting infrastructure, safety, and industry growth giving our operators opportunities to work on high-impact manufacturing. Farwest Steel’s Operations Department seeks a knowledgeable and dependable individual to join their team as Equipment Operator 3. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating machinery to ensure high-quality part production while meeting customer expectations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and performing maintenance to maximize uptime.
Requirements
- one (1) year of Press Brake Experience
- High school Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret production orders and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery with precision to meet production goals.
- Ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met for each order.
- Verify job priority, material selection, and machine settings for optimal performance.
- Make necessary adjustments, including program edits, to improve efficiency and quality.
- Conduct first-part inspections to ensure specified tolerances and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform regular predictive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency and uptime.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as required.
