About The Position

To support the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics with the day-to-day management and administration with apparel and equipment to facilitate an effective, safe and sanitary Division I athletic equipment department. This position will work primarily with the football program, while also handling equipment services for three other Olympic sports.

Requirements

• Knowledge of all student-athlete safety and welfare items, especially concussion management.
• Knowledge of NCAA and conference branding/logo policies and procedures.
• Ability to work varying schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
• Ability to travel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• Experience as an equipment manager at a Division I institution.
• Experience working with a football program.
• AEMA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work with coaches to plan and prepare apparel ordering, embroidery, and distribution to all football student-athletes and coaches.
• Perform administrative responsibilities that include purchasing on-field equipment used for practice/competition and reconcile purchasing card.
• Oversee all equipment-related needs for multiple sports, including Fall and Spring sports.
• Manage all the laundry needs for sports associated with the position.
• Handle on-field setup for football practice, ensuring footballs are in practice/game condition.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned, including some travel to away competitions.
