About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Welding Maintenance Specialist coordinates, monitors, and performs technical processes related to the Welding shop in the maintenance department to meet company goals. This role involves reporting on the status of assigned tasks at the beginning, during, and conclusion of projects. The specialist develops a detailed action plan to meet shop-wise maintenance indices, including downtime, PM plans, equipment monitoring systems, equipment improvements, and safety/environmental considerations. Additionally, the specialist prepares a detailed training plan for each team member to meet skill level targets and executes an annual operation plan while reporting the status of each task. The role supports the AM/MGR in encouraging good teamwork through meetings, events, and collaboration. The specialist analyzes welding shop downtime and provides improvement plans, while also managing the maintenance budget and overseeing purchasing and inventory control of maintenance materials. Excellent communication with management is essential to supervise and control conflicts within the organization and to mentor shop members for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years maintenance career in the field of automated plants.
  • Troubleshooting ability for PLC based automation equipment.
  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.
  • Domestic / International travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • More than 1 year Welding shop maintenance career in major automotive industry.
  • Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications.
  • AB PLC program and control circuit experience.
  • Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection and testing new/modified equipment and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • English and Korean proficient (Business professional level).

  • Verifies exact specification of all parts and creates material numbers.
  • Acts as 1st counterpart for purchasing team to get PO of each PR process.
  • In charge of PR, Parts receiving, Organizing, Parts issuing and payment.
  • Monitors purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material.
  • Maintains excellent communication with AM/MGR to supervise and control conflicts.
  • Mentors shop members to encourage continuous improvement.
