We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician interested in nightshift or dayshift to join our South Portland Maine, Facility. This position requires a flexible schedule, and the willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 on / 3 off. Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for multiple activities in support of manufacturing, focusing on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, and continuous improvements. These repairs and procedures are performed in an environment where toxic gas, acids, solvents, high voltage, and kinetic energy hazards may exist. Candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals in a fast-paced industrial setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Nightshift provides a 15% shift differential on top of the base pay. Working hours: 6:00pm to 6:00am or 6:00am to 6:00pm, 3 on / 3 off. Initial work hours may involve daytime training, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 5 days per week for 10 to 52 weeks. Work is performed within a clean room environment that requires the wearing of a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses. Position may require occasional wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, aprons, gauntlets, and full-face masks. Requires standing for up to 75% of shift. Requires lifting of objects that weigh up to 50 lbs. May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltage. Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems that may include support equipment such as servo motors and controllers, stepper motors and controllers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers. Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolation valves, vacuum pumps and pneumatic logic circuits. The completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
