PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Maintenance Technician will support the Technical Services department by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This achieved by maintaining the fabrication and production equipment on its best working condition, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets maintenance (equipment, machinery, building, etc.) and other duties as needed. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment Read and interpret technical diagrams Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic). Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the equipment and facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.) Assist with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs. Overtime during weekdays and/or weekends may be needed to support the Maintenance Technician functions. Minimum three (3) years of experience at a manufacturing site Minimum of 1 year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the industrial maintenance field Strong metal fabrication experience including CNC's, lathes, punch and bend equipment. Two (2) year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, or basic PLC programming Basic skills in reading and writing in English and Spanish. Position Criteria: Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software. Proficiency with verbal and written communications. Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
