About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Technician at Tesla is responsible for ensuring the operational availability of equipment in a production environment. This role involves leading maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing continuous improvement processes to enhance machine uptime and reduce breakdowns. The technician will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety, quality, and efficiency concerns while demonstrating strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• 3+ years of extensive experience troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance.
• Robotic, Hydraulics, Electrical, and PLC skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Downtime reports, Daily Pass down reports, Microsoft Office.
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Battery Pack shop experience is a plus.
• Open-minded, highly flexible, positive attitude, with good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day to day equipment TPM/PM activities to ensure operational availability.
• Oversee analysis and adjustment of maintenance practices and procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement processes to improve machine uptime and reduce machine breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quality issues.
• Create, modify, and implement PM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, including some weekends and holidays.
• Design, fabricate, implement, and fully document equipment improvements and modifications.
