About The Position

This is an hourly position with Local 475, requiring a skilled technician to perform maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and systems.

Requirements

• Conversant with 480/220 volts AC systems.
• Proficient in Stick Welding or Tig Welding.
• Experience in brazing and plumbing.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Experience using cutting and milling machines.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to repair surface media tumbling machinery.
• Ability to repair exhaust and extraction systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Servo-Drives and DC power supplies.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 5-7 years related equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Use multimeters and amp probes to check 480/220 volts AC systems used in pumps, starters, and solenoids.
• Perform Stick Welding or Tig Welding.
• Conduct brazing and plumbing tasks.
• Read mechanical and electrical blueprints and fabricate from prints.
• Operate cutting and milling machines.
• Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Repair surface media tumbling machinery.
• Repair exhaust and extraction systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair Servo-Drives and DC power supplies.
• Operate a forklift.
• Calibrate plasma and vacuum console gauges.
• Analyze mechanical and/or design problems related to the process.
