About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Paint Maintenance Specialist coordinates, monitors, and performs technical processes related to the Painting shop in the maintenance department to meet company goals. This role involves reporting on the status of assigned tasks at the beginning, during, and conclusion of projects. The specialist develops detailed action plans to meet shop-wise maintenance indices, including downtime, PM plans, equipment monitoring systems, equipment improvements, and safety/environmental considerations. Additionally, the specialist prepares detailed training plans for team members to meet skill level targets and executes annual operation plans while reporting on the status of each task. The role supports the AM/MGR in encouraging good teamwork through meetings, events, and collaboration. The specialist analyzes painting shop downtime and provides improvement plans, and must be flexible with work schedules based on department shift rotations, including potential night, weekend, and holiday work. Responsibilities also include analyzing the shop-wise maintenance budget, verifying specifications of all parts, creating material numbers for purchase requests, and monitoring purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance materials. Effective communication with AM/MGR is essential to supervise and control conflicts within the organization and to mentor shop members for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years maintenance career in the field of automated plants.
  • Troubleshooting ability for PLC based automation equipment.
  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • More than 1 year of paint shop maintenance career in the major automotive industry.
  • Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications.
  • Experience with AB PLC programming and control circuits.
  • Experience in performing equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection, and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Domestic / International travel required.
  • Proficient in English and Korean at a business professional level.

  • Monitors purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance materials.
  • Communicates effectively with AM/MGR to supervise and control conflicts.
  • Mentors shop members to encourage continuous improvement.
