About The Position

Suit-Kote Corporation is accepting applications for an experienced loader operator in Polkville, NY, able to operate at a very fast pace feeding raw materials into cold feed bins.
Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Requirements

• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
• Punctuality is extremely important
• High school diploma or GED is preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Must be unafraid of heights
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Strong work ethic
• Must have a clean motor-vehicle record
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and understand SDS
• Hazmat endorsement a plus
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily and routine cleaning and maintenance as well as safety checks of equipment.
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.
• Load customer trucks and trailers with aggregates
• Operate Loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
• Communicate with the scale house and quarry personnel for the needs of customers and the quarry
• Manage stockpiles
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
